Lightyear conference calling can be used by any current Lightyear customer. There is no separate sign-up or registration required. To arrange or schedule a conference call, just call 1-800-782-3330, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Audio Conferencing

Conferencing by telephone lets companies deliver information to key audiences in a timely manner, increasing the speed of decision making and potentially eliminating the travel expenses incurred for face-to-face meetings.

Conference Calling Service Types Include (pricing is based on each type of service):

• Dial Out Operator Assisted - Our Conference Operator calls each participant to connect the conference call immediately or at a prearranged time. This conference service is the easiest for each of the participants and the Host pays all conference related charges. • 1+ Meet Me - At a prearranged time, conference participants make a long distance call to our Conference Operator where they are connected to the conference call. The conference host is billed for the conference call and participants pay for their own long distance call. • 800 Meet Me - At a prearranged time, conference participants dial a toll free 800 number (supplied by Lightyear) to reach our Conference Operator where they are connected to the conference call. The toll-free 800 number relieves each participant from any cost with the Host paying for all conference related charges. • 1+ Unattended Meet Me - At the prearranged time, each participant dials the supplied long distance number and six digit passcode to reach the conference automated attendant. Once entered, the automated attendant connects the calling party to the other participants. A live operator is not present, but may be accessed at any time by pressing "Q" then "0" from a touch-tone telephone keypad. The Host pays for the conference call with each participant paying for the long distance call. • 800 Unattended Meet Me - At the prearranged time, each participant dials the supplied toll-free 800 number and six digit passcode to reach the conference automated attendant.   Features

• Lightyear conference calling can be used by any current Lightyear customer. There is no separate sign-up or registration required. To arrange or schedule a conference call, just call 1-800-782-3330, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
• One Statement -- All conference calls are itemized on one statement along with all of your other Lightyear long distance services.
• Customer Service -- Available through your Lightyear Agent, NTN - Lightyear at 502-721-9690 or 800-320-6829 or through Lightyear's national customer center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 800-491-0148.

  Optional Services:

• Participant Prenotification - Communications Coordinators will call the participants before the call to confirm the date and time of the call, relieving the customer of this administrative task.
• Standing Reservation - Standing reservations can be made for any customer who has a regularly scheduled, recurring conference call. Eliminates the need to continuously reschedule a new conference.
• Conference Recording - The conference call can be recorded on a 90 minute cassette tape for later review or for participants who could not attend the call.
• Broadcast / Listen Only - For larger conferences, the Host can designate attendees to be placed in a "listen only" mode. As needed throughout the conference, the Communications Coordinators can open the call up for a question and answer session.
• Executive Subconferencing - Participants are separated by designated groups for private meetings and can regroup as needed throughout the conference.
• On Hold Music - A variety of music is played for participants while they are placed on hold waiting for the conference to begin. n Customized Greeting When participants call into the conference, the Communications Coordinators can answer the call with a customized greeting. This feature allows the Host to present a professional image to clients and participants when they call into the conference call.
• Passcode Conference - For experienced conference call users or after hours, participants are given a number to dial and a six digit access code. The Communications Coordinators are not present and the call is completely automated. During normal business hours Communications Coordinators are available by pressing "Q" then "0" from a touch-tone telephone keypad. This service is better known as 1+ or 800 Unattended Meet Me conference calls.
• Password Conference - For a highly confidential conference, a password is given to the participants to relay to the Communications Coordinators at the time of access.
• Participant Roll Call - A list of all participants is faxed or mailed to the Communications Coordinators for roll call prior to the conference call.
• Participant List Fax-Back - A list of all participants on the conference call can be faxed to the Host or designated individual after the call is over to confirm attendance. This feature is upon request only.
• One-Touch Operator Assistance - Communications Coordinators can be recalled into a conference at any time by depressing "Q" then "0" on the touch-tone telephone keypad.
• Full Time Operator Monitor - The Host of the conference can request the Communications Coordinators to listen during the entire conference.
• Integrated Voice Response Digital Playback - Allows the customer to record the conference call, or a message, and to have many callers simultaneously dial into a single phone number at any time to listen and respond to the recording. Capabilities such as fast forward, rewind and pause are available to all participants via remote access. (We would prefer 24 hour notification for this feature).
• Typed Transcript of Conference - The entire transcript of the conference call can be typed after the call and mailed to the designated individual.
• Certified Stenography Recording - For very important conference calls (i.e. legal matters, executive meetings, Board of Directors etc.), a certified stenographer can be on-line during the entire call and type it real-time.
• Question and Answer Queuing - For an efficient question and answer period, Communications Coordinators can set up queuing for the participants. When a participant wishes to ask a question, they enter "1" on a touch tone phone and that will signal to the Operator the order in which the questions were received. The participant may press "#" to be removed from the order. The Communications Coordinators then come on the line and announce who is asking the question and opens the line for that caller. The Operator must be on the call during the question and answer period to facilitate the queuing system.
• Question and Answer Polling - Allows the ability to conduct an instant opinion or survey by asking participants to signify responses through numbers on their keypads. The Communications Coordinators will tabulate the responses and announce the results. n Conference Security Lock Out For complete conference security, the Communications Coordinators can set-up the call with a "lock out" feature. This feature will "lock out" any late parties as well as the Communications Coordinators. The Host can activate/deactivate this feature using a touch-tone telephone keypad.
• Clearance List - A clearance list is used for an additional security measure for confidential conferences. This feature is used when the host of a conference call requests participants to be screened prior to allowing them into the call. The host must supply the Lightyear Communications Coordinators with a list of conference participants prior to the call to screen individuals. If someone calls in that is not on the approved list, the Communications Coordinators will bridge into the host for direction.
• Foreign Language Interpretation - For conference calls that include a mixture of nationalities, an on-line foreign language interpretation service is offered. This service is provided by Berlitz International and offers an economical and convenient access method to the international marketplace. Over 130 foreign languages or dialects are available.
