Welcome to Lightyear; formerly you've known us as UniDial. Our business is making yours run more smoothly. We converge Data, Voice and Internet onto a single dedicated line so that we can bring you cost-efficient global communications. Our next-generation data network and unparalleled product solutions have successfully optimized workflow for small and mid-sized businesses across the country.

Why is UniDial changing its name to Lightyear?

We're changing our name because we have seen a fundamental shift in our business as well as a fundamental shift in the services our customer require, which is no longer limited to simple "dialing". We want our name to truly reflect who we are to customers -- a company dedicated to helping customers through the use of leading edge, converged telecommunications services.

Was UniDial purchased by another company, or did UniDial merge with another company?

Absolutely not. We're changing our name because our business is changing. We remain privately held.

What do your name and logo signify?

Lightyear reflects the agility, resourcefulness, and confidence that we feel are key company traits. The name speaks to technology and people energy. And quite literally, the name sets forth a promise that we keep customers lightyears ahead of their competition. The mark (or wavy lines) that accompany the Lightyear name highlight the dynamic pace and forward movement of our company. The horizon effect that you see going toward the name accentuates the forward and enlightened thinking that we provide to our clients.

Will I need to call a different number for service or deal with different salespeople now?

No. All our salespeople and service staff will remain the same. National Telecommunications Network, your UniDial Agent, will now be a Lightyear Agent, but these changes are all in name only. You will call all the same phone numbers for customer service, but we'll now be answering the phone as Lightyear / UniDial.

Will this affect the products and rates I currently receive?

No. We will continue to offer you all the products you know and use, at the same rates. The change to Lightyear, and the building of the network, however, will bring new product and lower-price options to you, should you live in one of the major metropolitan areas where Lightyear will be building its network. We will keep you abreast of these new options as they are made available.

Will I receive new calling cards?

We are currently putting our plans in place regarding calling cards and we will communicate to you when and if changes will be made. In the meantime, please continue to use your cards as you would normally do.

Who do I make my check out to?

Continue to make them out to UniDial. We will be sending out inserts in your May and June bills explaining more about our new name. Beginning in July, you will receive a Lightyear bill, with the address for mailing your check indicated.

Where can I find Lightyear on the web?

We have begun to integrate the new Lightyear logo throughout our current web site. Sometimes in the next few months, we'll be deploying a new site at http://www.ntn-lightyear.com, however, the www.ntn-unidial.com site will permanently remain in place. Our site will continue to function as it always has -- as a convenient source for program and product information, as well as a tool to help you manage your services. Our site will continue to allow you to make changes or additions to your Lightyear services 24 hours per day and the site will also continue to include a huge knowledge base with answers to faqs, information about all Lightyear services and a wealth of useful information about the issues that face today's business telecommunications consumer.

I have a UniDial e-mail address. How will this affect me?

Existing customers will keep their current addresses. (If Agents want to change their e-mail addresses they can do so by calling customer service.)

Is Lightyear going public?

It's an option that's always available to us, but right now, we are a privately held company and we are not traded on any stock exchange.
